CONTEMPORARY CHINESE AND SPANISH FIGURATIVE PAINTING. EXHIBITION AT QUAN SHANSHI ART CENTER, HANGZHOU, CHINA 

From November 29, 2023 to March 31, 2024, an exhibition of reproductions of works can be seen in the hall of the Shanghai Middle Longhua subway station at exits 1 and 2 of the station (lines 7 and 12). significant works of Antonio López and several Spanish realist painters of his and subsequent generations. These artists are: Miguel Ángel Argüello, Amalia Avia, Francisco López, José María Mezquita, María Moreno, Isabel Quintanilla and Julio Vaquero.

The exhibition "Antonio López and the masters of Spanish realism" is co-organized by the Cervantes Institute, the Spanish Embassy in the PR. China and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, with the collaboration of Turespaña, the advice of the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid and the Antonio López and María Moreno Studio and the support of the Shanghai Metro and the Friendship Association.

CONTEMPORARY CHINESE AND SPANISH FIGURATIVE PAINTING. EXHIBITION AT QUAN SHANSHI ART CENTER, HANGZHOU, CHINA 

A group exhibition of contemporary Chinese and Spanish figurative artists has just opened at the Quan Shanshi Art Center in Hangzhou where it will remain until November 28. It includes several works by María Moreno (in the image on the left), as well as Antonio López and other important Spanish figurative artists. This exhibition will travel in December to the National Grand Theater of China,  in Beijing, where it can be visited between December 5, 2023 and January 5, 2024.

ARTISTS AND MODELS. STORIES OF PASSION, CREATION AND DESTRUCTION. EXHIBITION AT THE CANAL FOUNDATION

A new exhibition by the Canal de Madrid Foundation explores the relationships between female and male artists, and their partners through their art. The exhibition is curated by Rosario Sarmiento. These relationships were fruitful in some cases, supporting their lives and creativity, and destructive in others. 
 
María Moreno's Antonio Tumbado is one of her largest paintings, which she created during the filming of Victor Erice's film El sol del membrillo, and which is now being exhibited for the first time.

"MIMESIS|REPRESENTATIONAL ART 2023", EXHIBITION AT THE MEAM IN BARCELONA

The MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) in Barcelona presents "Mimesis| Representational Art 2023", a group exhibition on the contemporary international figuration scene. One of the artists partaking in the show is María Moreno, represented by her picture House Entrance from 1980.

The exhibition can be visited between April 21 and June 25, 2023.

EXHIBITION "THE ERNESTO WUTHENOW COLLECTION" AT THE LEANDRO NAVARRO GALLERY

These days, the Leandro Navarro gallery in Madrid is offering an exhibition on the collection of Ernesto Wuthenow, a German businessman who was a founding member of one of the first Spanish art galleries, the Juana Mordó Gallery. This collector bought the work of various contemporary Spanish artists, both abstract and realist, including María Moreno. Wuthenow helped Spanish artists from the Juana Mordó gallery to present their work in several exhibitions in Germany.

EXHIBITION "INFINITE REALITY"
AT THE GOYA MUSEUM IN ZARAGOZA

From June 22 to September 18, 2022, the Goya Museum in Zaragoza hosts the collective exhibition "Infinite reality". It is devoted to various figurative artists who developed their careers in the second half of the 20th and the 21st centuries.

In this selection are included some paintings by María Moreno, as well as works by Antonio López, Isabel Quintanilla, Francisco López, Julio López, Esperanza Parada, Carmen Laffón, Amalia Avia, Cristóbal Toral and José Hernández.

EXHIBITION "ANTONIO LÓPEZ" IN BANCAJA FOUNDATION, VALENCIA

From September 24, 2020 to January 24, 2021, a very selected selection of some of the most important works painted by María Moreno during her career will be seen at this show. They are in a room dedicated exclusively to his work within the retrospective exhibition "Antonio López" at the Bancaja Foundation in Valencia.
 
Exquisite drawings accompany the paintings from different periods of Maria's career.

EXPOSICIÓN SOBRE MUJERES ARTISTAS EN CAJACANARIAS

From January 28 to March 28, you will be able to enjoy the work of a selection of important international female artists who have lived and worked between the last two centuries. Covering all artistic disciplines, the list of selected artists includes Louise Bourgeois, Nancy Spero, Kiki Smith, Paula Rego, Helena Almeida, Rebecca Horn, Nan Goldin, and even María Moreno, among others.
 
The sample is in the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (San Clemente, 22).

EXHIBITION AT THE INSTITUTO CERVANTES IN NEW YORK

From July 25 to September 3, 2019, the traveling exhibition The poetics between abstraction and figuration can be seen at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in New York. Spanish art in the 50s and 60s.

Among the thirty-five works of some of the most representative artists of Madrid's figuration and abstraction of the fifties and sixties of the twentieth century, which can be seen in this exhibition, there are two by María Moreno: Trinidad Vicente and Camera with bed and bike.

EXHIBITION SEDUCIDOS POR LA REALIDAD

The traveling exhibition, Seduced by reality, arrives at the Las Claras Cultural Center in Murcia; where it will be from May 17 to July 7.

Varying some of the works included in its selection, it showcases the work of several important figurative artists for the development of realism and figurative art  in the last fifty years. Among them, María Moreno, is present with some works of her production of recent years.

EXHIBITION "ANTONIO LÓPEZ", MONASTERIO DE SANTO DOMINGO DE SILOS

From April 26 to October 31, 2019, Antonio López's monographic exhibition is displayed in the Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos, Burgos, around the spirituality and transcendence that can be found in some of his works on flowers and children. In addition, three works by María Moreno are displayed, cennected with this sensitivity and light as its driver.

The exhibition is the culmination of "Angeli" project of Las Edades del Hombre, which highlights this spiritual value. Currently exhibited in Lerma in three locations, until November of this year.

GROUP SHOW AT THE INSTITUTO CERVANTES IN LISBOA

From February 19 to April 19, 2019, you can visit the travelling exhibition Poetics between abstraction and figurative art. Spanish art in the 50s and 60s at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in Lisbon.

EXHIBITION AT THE INSTITUTO CERVANTES IN ROME

On 26 September 2018 a new venue of the exhibition's The poetics of abstraction and figurative art will be opened at the Cervantes Institute in Rome, located in the Piazza Navona.
 
This exhibition began at the Cervantes Institute in Prague in November 2017. Thirty-five works by some of the most representative artists of the figurative art and abstraction practiced in Madrid in the fifties and sixties of the twentieth century can be seen in this exhibition.

A LA MESA. EL BODEGÓN EN EL ARTE. GROUP SHOW AT SALA LAS CLARAS, MURCIA

From October 4 to November 25, 2018 you can enjoy the exhibition Time to it! Still life in art, shown at the venue Las Claras in Murcia. The show is composed around still life and food, including works by artists spanning the twentieth century and contemporary, among which there are some pieces by Maria Moreno.

GROUP SHOW "SEDUCIDOS POR LA REALIDAD", DA2, SALAMANCA

Between September 20, 2018 and January 6, 2019 will be shown in the DA2 Salamanca, the exhibition Seduced by reality,which includes works by some and some of the most important figurative artists of the second half of the twentieth century in Spain, several of which are framed in the so-called "Realistas de Madrid". Included are drawings, sculptures and paintings by Antonio López, Julio and Francisco López, Esperanza Parada, Amalia Avia, Carmen Laffón, Isabel Quintanilla, Cristobal Toral and María Moreno.

EXHIBITION AT THE INST. CERVANTES IN PRAGUE, 
10/11/2017- 10/02/2018 

The exhibition The poetics of abstraction and figurative art was inaugurated at the Cervantes Institute in Prague, which consists of 35 works by some of the most representative artists of Madrid's figurative art and abstraction of the fifties and sixties of the 20th century. Works by members of the El Paso group can be contemplated, among whom were Antonio Saura, Luis Feito, Martín Chirino or Rafael Canogar among others; but also paintings by other abstract and figurative artists such as Lucio Muñoz, Isabel Quintanilla, María Moreno or Antonio López. These last ones although they were not part of any artistic group, maintained ties of friendship and artistic connection, being grouped later by the critic.

REALIDAD INTERPRETADA, ART SHOW AT CEART, FUENLABRADA

On September 21, 2017, "Interpreted Reality" was inaugurated at the Tomás y Valiente Arts Center in Fuenlabrada. This was an exhibition that featured works by the top representatives of the New Spanish Figurative Art, including a selection of works by Antonio López and María Moreno. The show finished on November 5.
